Dango A10 Spec-Ops Bifold Review: A Lethal EDC Wallet With Multi-Tool

dango edc wallet

The Dango A10 Spec Ops Bifold Wallet is the ideal EDC wallet for military and law enforcement personnel. It has the ability to hold up to 18 cards or it can be used in a minimalist manner, while still having the multi-tool equipped. The DTEX material is extremely durable and the CNC-machined 6061 aircraft aluminum is both strong and lightweight.

I’ve used many wallets over the years, and the majority of them were simple leather wallets that would end up falling apart within a year or two.

When my good friend showed me his Dango Products T01 minimalist wallet, I was impressed!

First Impression

I was really impressed when I first got my hands on the Dango A10 Spec-Ops wallet. The DTEX material has a really nice feel to it.

There’s a removeable chassis that is made from 6061 aerospace aluminum and has a nice Cerakote finish. This is an excellent minimalist option that has the multi-tool attached.

DTEX Material

Dango Products uses what they call DTEX Material on the A10 Spec Ops Bifold wallet.

Dango DTEX material is a type of synthetic leather that is made from a polyurethane (PU) base and a microfiber backing. It is designed to mimic the look and feel of genuine leather, while also being more durable and sustainable

Quality & Workmanship

All the stitching is tight with no breakages. There’s hardware screws also all around the wallet which keeps it intact and durable. It also gives it a rugged tactical look to it.

There is a smooth rubberized material along the edges of the wallet, which over time does crack at bend-points. Eventually I expect this to break away in these areas, as it has a tiny bit on the inner portion of the ID window.

MT05 Multi-Tool

One of the impressive aspects of the Dango A10 Spec-Ops EDC wallet is the Multi-Tool which is made from high carbon heat-treated stainless steel.

The MT05 Multi-Tool has 18 functions meant to be utilized in emergency situations. Some of the 18 functions include:

  • seat-belt cutter/gutter
  • sharp edge
  • serrated edge
  • hook point
  • chisel
  • two paracord tensioners
  • O2 oxygen wrench
  • nail pryer
  • 1/4″ hex wrench
  • 3/8″ hex wrench
  • 7/16″ hex wrench
  • 1/2″ hex wrench
  • bottle opener
  • hammer head

The serrated edge is extremely sharp and excellent for cutting into harder surfaces.

The smooth-edge seat-belt cutter/gutter is insanely sharp as well, and if you’re not careful when removing the multi-tool from the removeable chassis, you could easily cut yourself (as I did myself).

MT01 Removeable Clasp Multi-Tool

Dango Products has even utilized the removeable clasp as a Mutli-Tool. This tiny clasp has a 1/4″ open-faced hex wrench, a small chisel, a flat head screwdriver, a Phillips head screwdriver, and bottle opener.

Minimalist EDC Wallet

The Dango A10 Spec-Ops has the ability to be a minimalist EDC wallet with the removable chassis.

The removeable chassis is what holds the MT05 Multi-Tool and can also hold up to 4 cards + 1 ID card slot.

The chassis is made of CNC machined 6061 Aerospace Aluminum with a Cerakote finish.

This chassis is absolutely solid! Having such a compact wallet, with 5 essential cards and a Multi-Tool that can be used in such a variety of ways is amazing for anyone who needs a minimalist EDC wallet.

This removeable chassis is where I keep my military ID, bank card, drivers license, and Costco membership. These are the cards I use the most, so if I ever need to run a quick errand, I can grab this and go.

This minimalist option carries the MT05 Multi-Tool, which could be used in emergency situations or self-defense scenarios.

Pull-Tab Access Slot

On the outer side of the Dango A10 Spec-Ops wallet is a slot where you can store up to 3 cards comfortably. This slot has a pull-tab which slides the cards out of the slot when pulled.

Outer Card Slot

On the opposite side of the wallet, there is another slot which can hold up to 3 cards, but this side does not have the pull-tab feature. Instead, it has a tab which the clasp can be stored in, which keeps the wallet fully enclosed and secured.

Internal Card Slot/ID Window

On the inside of the A10 Spec-Ops is your classic card slot which can hold up to 4 cards comfortably and has an ID window.

The cards in this slot do move around slightly, especially if you have three or less cards in this slot. I’ve never had a card fall out of the wallet, but only had the corner of a card out of the side a bit. Nothing crazy, but worth mentioning.

Conclusion

The Dango Products A10 Spec-Ops wallet is the ideal tactical EDC wallet for any military member, first responder, or prepping enthusiasts.

The DTEX material is extremely durable and flexible, and the MT05 multi-tool is an amazing piece of hardware to always have available.

Unfortunately it’s not TSA carry-on approved, so you’ll either have to leave it at home or pack it in your luggage being checked-in.

If you’re looking for a great EDC wallet that you want to have for years to come, or if you’re looking for the perfect tactical EDC gifts for someone you care about, then definitely consider buying the Dango Products A10 Spec-Ops wallet.
